April 2nd Public Talk by Professor Adam Jortner

On April 2, 2013 Professor Adam Jortner of Auburn University will give a lecture entitled “Violence and ‘Superstition’ on the American Frontier, 1810-1858.” The event will take place at 3:30 p.m. in Hoskins Library Seminar Room (217). Refreshments will be provided.

14th Annual Johnson Lecture

March 11, 2013

The 14th Annual Johnson Lecture will take place on March 20 at 5:00 p.m. in the Toyota Auditorium at the Howard H. Baker Center. Rob Simbeck, an award-winning author, will speak about Cornelia Fort, the history-making Nashville pilot who served during World War II as a founding member of the Women’s Auxiliary Ferrying Squadron, the first organization under the United States Army Air Forces to employ female pilots.
