  • He enlisted on September 20, 1944 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. He served in the European theater of the war in the 54th Armored Infantry Battalion, 10th Armored Infantry Division. He was killed in action in Germany on March 8, 1945. He is buried in Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, Tennessee.

Rowe Cullom Eager (Sept. 15, 1925 – March 8, 1945) was from Clinton in Anderson County, Tennessee. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1943 and enrolled in the University of Tennessee as a Pre-Medical student before being drafted into the United States Army in 1944. He did his training at Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia where he was assigned as a Private First Class to B Company of the 54th Armored Infantry Battalion. The 54th was deployed in Europe with the 10th Armored Division in 1944. PFC Eager was killed in action on March 8, 1945 as the 10th Armored was advancing through Germany. He is buried at Sunset Cemetery in Clinton, Tennessee.
