Mark Auburn Dodds (1907-1943) was born in Petrolia, Texas but lived in Hardin County, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee in Education in 1930. He enlisted in the Army on in 1941 and achieved the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He died July 24, 1943 and is buried in Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin, Tennessee.
