George Arthur Ogle (Oct. 30, 1891 – Nov. 4, 1917) was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. He graduated from the University of Tennessee as part of the Class of 1917. He volunteered in the United States Army in May 1917. As a member of Headquarters Company, 17th Infantry, he was trained in the rank of Corporal at Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Cpl. Ogle was accidentally killed in an army truck wreck during a maneuver, in the line of duty, on November 4, 1917.

Corporal Ogle was returned home to Knoxville and is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery.
