Frank Massey Finney (April 19, 1916 – Oct. 24, 1944) was born in Lynchburg, Tennessee. He was a student at the University of Tennessee studying in a M.S. program in the College of Liberal Arts when the war began in 1941. He joined the Army Air Corps and served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Pacific Theater. 2nd Lt. Finney was declared Missing in Action over Maymyo, Burma in October of 1944. He is memorialized at Lynchburg Cemetery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.
