Interview with MSgt. Tammy Silvers-Haller

Interview with MSgt. Tammy Silvers-Haller

March 8, 2023

The Center had the privilege of interviewing USAF MSgt. Tammy Silvers-Haller this week. She joined the Air Force in 2010 and is currently active duty at McGhee Tyson Air National Guard Base (MTAB). Before the Air Force, she began her military career in 1987 with the Marine Corps. She drew inspiration to enlist from the movie “Private Benjamin.” While in the Marine Corps, she was stationed at Quantico as a musician and flute player in the Marine Corps Band. After taking leave from service, MSgt. Silvers-Haller joined the Army National Guard. Her career continued when she joined the Chaplain Corps of the Army National Guard as a chaplain assistant. The Air Force transferred her to their branch as a Superintendent and musician for Sunday Services. MSgt. Tammy Silvers-Haller says she will continue her active-duty service until “they kick me out.” You can watch the full interview below!
