Good News from Graduate Students at Center for the Study of War and Society: Two Noted in New York Times!

Good News from Graduate Students at Center for the Study of War and Society: Two Noted in New York Times!

March 30, 2015

Graduate students active in the programs of the Center for the Study of War and Society continue to set new records! In March 2015, TWO of them made the New York Times.

First, Robert Glaze (Doctoral student in US History, working on the Civil War) had a piece published  in the New York Times online Disunion series:

You can read it here:  http://opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com/2015/03/20/shermans-last-stand/?_r=0

Second, today Michael McConnell (Doctoral student in German history) was listed on p. A7 of the New York Times print edition among the winners of awards from the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation for his dissertation, “Home to the Reich: The Nazi Occupation of Europe’s Influence on Life Inside Germany, 1941-1945”.
