CSTW Director Dr. Chris Magra Discusses the American Revolution at Farragut History Hour
On September 22, 2026, Dr. Chris Magra, Director of the Center for the Study of Tennesseans and War and professor of history at the University of Tennessee, spoke at the Farragut Town Hall’s History Hour program.
Dr. Magra’s lecture explored the military history of the American Revolutionary War. Drawing on his recent research, he discussed the conflict that secured American independence and the military experiences that shaped the nation’s founding.
The presentation also highlighted Dr. Magra’s new book, America’s First War, which examines the Revolutionary War and its place in American history. Copies of the book were available for attendees.
